Heading for Tournon

A very pleasant day spent mostly on the boat in the sunshine.  The scenery was quite different, with lots of bridges and many Locks to maneuver through.  It was interesting to see how the gate at the end would open so that the water could gather; some opened like a normal gate, others sank into the river to let us out and this one slid shut. All great engineering feats. This part of the river seemed more modern, but perhaps we were now on the Soane.  We had to make a sharp left turn when we came out of the last lock.  I think that's when we entered the Soane. It was more relaxing than getting up early to be out on a walking tour at 9am.
