In the village

This is one of my favourite village views: I like the variety of materials and textures and the varied styles and construction methods of houses built over many centuries. Today, in muted light, the colours of the vegetation    toned particularly well with the roof tiles and warm brick.

I love looking at the built environment and photographing the shapes and details of buildings, so today's Wide Wednesday theme was a useful nudge: I've not been for many walks recently, not even little local ones, so it was nice to wander peacefully through the churchyard and up and down some of the lanes.
