Shenzhen: Sight for Sore Eyes

After a full day staring at a computer screen I just had to sit on the balcony and look. Fortunately it's a clear, clear night here in Shenzhen, so I could wave to the Hong Kong folk living in their massive apartment towers across the bay.

I fear my 3-year-old Canon IXUS 970IS is not long for this world. You may have noticed the last couple of weeks have all been blips with the same specs - 400 ISO etc. Now, not only has the digital screen died, it has developed a fetching black spot with moving spark-like surrounds. I'm not so keen to put the camera to my eye anymore (as I've been using the view-finder - remember them?).

I'll be heading through Hong Kong International Airport soon so unless you tell me otherwise, I'll probably go for a slip-in-the-pocket Canon camera again...
