"Me and My Shadow"

Louisa May seems to have two shadows here on the kitchen floor as she slowly walked to me.  It immediately made me think of an old song, and I do mean old.  First performed in 1927 by Al Jolson, "Me and My Shadow" has been performed by many over the last 95 years.  It also made me think of the movie, Peter Pan, where Peter loses his shadow and Wendy sews it back on for him. (Unfortunately, I couldn't find a clip from the 1953 Mary Martin film.)  Hmm...I wonder what Carl Jung would think of all that?  Seems my mind is all over the place this morning!
