The May HeartFreek Photo Challenge - Old
Well, Iv done it - In my muddled brain, I have finally started the May Photo Challenge and even stuck to the order on the list!!! Yes, I know its only day 1 - but its a start!
This Rabbit, the larger one, is VERY 'Old'. It was given to me by my Grandmother, Phyllis. She hated being called Grandma as she said it made her sound old, so we always called her Phyllis!! She told me that this Rabbit was the only ornament she had that survived the Second World War. She only survived it by hiding under the kitchen table. An incredible story I think, and writing this made me wonder if I should be using the Rabbit as a Garden ornament?! But I suppose if it survived the Second World War, it will survive the harsh frost we had this year!
The middle sized rabbit I found at a car boot sale many years ago and bought it to keep the large Rabbit company, and the tiny rabbit was given to me when I was a child by my neighbour Torty (Victoria) who I used to play with when I lived in Peaslake. We have lost touch now but I have had that at least 35 years!! How time flies.
So day 1 complete. The list can be found here but I shall add it below and cross them off as I go!!
Feeling much better today for thos who have been following my little adventure, made all the better for a lie in and cuddles with Mr W this morning who didn't have to rush off to work for a change. Love you Mr W.
