An ordinary life....

Stormy weather...

Weather forecast for the Loch Tay area was thunder and lightning and heavy rain.  Thankfully it was wrong.

Had lunch at the cottage then headed out to Killin to photograph the Falls of Dochart.  Couldn't get parked near the falls and there were people clambering over the rocks, which restricted my already rubbish view from the car, so not blipping any of the disappointing shots of that.

We continued back along Loch Tay, this time on the south side where the road is single track and much quieter than the north side road.  So many tantalising glimpses of the loch and the hills between the trees and the light was beautiful.

We stopped at the Ardeonaig Hotel thinking we might book dinner there for tomorrow evening.  It's lovely but sadly, because it's an old building it's not wheelchair accessible so that put paid to that plan.

As we approached the north end of Loch Tay a weather front was rolling along the north hills (see extra) and I thought we were driving into the storm that had been forecast but other then the road being wet as we approached Kenmore, we missed any rain till evening time.

Stopped at Kenmore to book dinner in the Courtyard Bistro then headed back to the cottage to enjoy coffee and cake sitting in the garden in the late afternoon sunshine.  The sound of the little stream as it flows past is just lovely and so restful.   The perfect place to be to reduce the stress of watching the arrival of Thick Lizzy Liz Truss in No 10.
