Another Book Project

Ok, the contest is on. Guess how many books are in my most recent painting? Answer at the end.

I "borrowed" the first two lines from Dr. Seuss, but I made up the last two lines. The piece measures 16 x 20, and was very labor intensive. Aside from all the books, there are 7 people and 5 cats hanging out in the nooks.

I never left the house today. Lisa worked for a few hours, and I cooked dinner and painted. 

Now, to the number.

235 books. There are 235 books in this picture. Do I like it? Yes, but with my claustrophobic issues, I don't think I would be looking for a place to read

but I didn't want to add another ladder.
