Final approach to Gatwick

We went to collect friends who flew from Glasgow to Gatwick this morning. Picking up and dropping off people at airports in an expensive activity nowadays with a £5 charge just to kiss and go (other airports charge similar or more)

Gatwick does have a free option whereby you use the long term carpark free for two hours and travel to arrivals by bus. This is what we did. Their plane was delayed by 40 minutes owing to problems matching boarding cards with the number of passengers.

They noticed a real difference in temperature from Glasgow. It was a muggy 26c here, it’s not cooling down very much yet, although we are forecast thunderstorms overnight.
