The beauty of age

Went into the commercial centre this afternoon to do some admin tasks and as always it feels like a different city there to Copabana and Ipanema, although just a 15 min taxi ride away. Always nice to feel that atmosphere too. Tonight we went to a concert to see Angela Maria strut her stuff at the grand age of 84. She was the most popular female Brazilian singer in the 50s. I discovered her voice on a cd playing in a cafe in São Paulo in 2002 and have been a fan ever since. Wonderful to see and hear her live in what is her last tour and see the audience come alive with her old favourites. I took a few snaps on my iPhone at the concert, but all very blurry. Instead, here's a pic of a lovely lady who was at the next table to ours at the bustling place we stopped at for a bite on the way home.
