Summer lingers on

We were woken by a massive thunderstorm in the night, like a lot of the country I gather, with loud crashes of thunder, really bright flashes of lighting and rain pouring in the bedroom window!  This morning dawned misty and then the sun came out.  I was drawn back to the sunflowers where the bees and other insects were enjoying not only the pollen but licking up the raindrops on the petals.
