Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge

We explored the Canal Park in Duluth. The aerial lift bridge was fascinating. The span was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed in 1929. The extra shows a small craft going under it, partially lifted. There was a cargo ship due to come through later in the day, but we opted not to stay and watch. We did walk across the bridge and back just before they lifted it.

How could I not blip another light? The last extra is the Duluth Harbor North Pier Light. Constructed in 1910.

We had a great lunch at Grandmas Saloon and Grille. I am grateful to the bartender for knowing where we could purchase some of the cranberry wild rice bread.
