Art Walk
A bit less manic today as I had managed to get round most of the Art Houses yesterday and finished off the rest that are open this weekend early on. That meant I was able to join the whole of Annie Lord's The Neighbouring Orchard walk in the afternoon. The Neighbouring Orchard started in 2020 and is a network of 160 apple trees planted by individuals across Edinburgh's coastal suburbs. Trees were planted in communal spaces or in private gardens where they would still be visible from public footpaths. Annie took us around a few of the trees in Portobello, meeting a few of the people who have planted trees as part of the project. Here is Annie, who is a writer and artist, in front of one of the trees.
