Kingfisher

The suburb along from us has an active bird group who, amongst other activities, go out on a bus trip once a month. There are always spare seats and so U3A members are invited, yesterday was the second day trip l have done with this friendly group. We went out east towards Cambridge up to a reserve, not many birds to be seen in the very dry land but it is so good to get out in the countryside.
We did see this kingfisher in his glorious colours sitting very obligingly on a branch. Next month the group is going east again up to north Norfolk, an area l really enjoy, l hope there are some spare seats.
The extra is a very pastoral scene we passed by at the end of the day. My phone tells me l walked 12K steps.

The immediate world begins to return to some kind of normalcy today as the new school year begins. It rained, briefly, last night.
