Crossing the Hawea River

Eight of us drove to the Swing Bridge at Albert Town, and walked from there around Butterfields Wetlands, then on to the true left of the Clutha River.  The wind was very cold indeed.  +4C.  We didn't find a suitable spot for lunch until we were nearly back at the cars!

We had our usual cuppa at a local cafe before heading for home.  While we were sitting outside enjoying our drink, it started to hail!!!

The first thing I did when I got home was to light the fire!  11K steps, or just over 8 k's.  Apart from the cold wind, it was a lovely day out with friends.

The extra is : Looking towards the other side of the Clutha River.
