Volunteers Needed

Our local fire station were on parade at the small village fête this afternoon. The children were allowed to climb on board and switch on the blue lights. The Fire Officers were  there in the hope  of recruiting volunteers for the fire service.  Apparently most of the fire stations in Cambridgeshire are purely run by volunteers. They have been very busy this summer in these tinder dry conditions and very little rain in weeks.
