North York Moors

Backblipping this as I finally had time to download the camera.

A little trip out for my Dad's actual 80th birthday (celebrated with the family last week). I'd seen details of an exhibition of photographs by Joe Cornish and Simon Baxter - Woodland Sanctuary.  However I had misread the location as Dalby visitor centre rather than Danby (opposite sides of the North York Moors National Park!).  So our hotel just outside Pickering wasn't quite as conveniently located as expected.  I love the open expanses of the moors - though the heather was obviously a little past it's peak.
The exhibition was great - particularly as woodlands are one of my favourite photographic subjects!
