Clos Lucé

This is where Leonardo da Vinci spent the last few years of his life.  He was invited by the king to stay there and arrived with a few paintings in his bag, one of which was La Jaconde (Mona Lisa).  The place is a fabulous tribute to his imagination in engineering, painting, botany, sculpture, architecture, war machines and on and on.  There is a terrific immersive experience and the grounds are full of his machines brought to life.  Amazing place and a great day.  Extra is the tower of the main house seen through a stained glass window.
