Deep Clean
It’s almost as though on the day after the Bank Holiday the town is cleaning up as the holidaymakers depart, cleaning going on everywhere.
It may just be me but I think there is a feeling of “don’t rush back”.
We are starting to see a trickle of youngsters looking for accommodation before the Uni term starts. The “very reasonable” rent increases of £100 per month with an increase in the utilities deposit means some might struggle. The promised increase in student accommodation blocks has come to a halt with some standing half finished.
Paddy is happy, we found an alternative supplier for dogs ice cream since the kiosk in the pub front that we used to use closed as the pub changed hands and became a cider bar.
Rowing in the evening was really quite enjoyable.
