Mt Richardson, North Canterbury
Despite the sun it was very cold. (Note to self, too cold for shorts).
We did a round trip, swapping keys with the group with the other group going the opposite way, over lunch.
I'm not a huge fan of the northern foothills but I gained a new appreciation today. They're often accessible when the mountains aren't. The beech forest and scrubby tops have their own beauty. It's still fresh air, hard work, and amazing. My heart and soul are the better for it.
Yeah, I had to hold onto the trig to stop being blown around.
Today's gratitude: For good company and banter.
