After the fire

On Sunday I went to see a band with my #gigbuddy, @artminx. The gig was at The Castle in Manchester, which is on Oldham Road.

We had some satnav issues on the way, which I think were largely caused by this fire that resulted in the road being closed.

It's a funny thing, fire, isn't it? Unconfined and unmanaged it's a fearsome phenomenon. But in our grates, it's a source of comfort and pleasure. I'm looking for somewhere new to live at the moment and I've realised that I couldn't live anywhere without an open fire.
