Blue Boy

Since I'm overrun with Stellar's Jays and little else, they win the blip of the day spot.  I have sort of a love/hate relationship with them.  They can be annoyingly noisy and demanding but they have huge personalities and of course they're beautiful.  In the famous Gainsborough painting Blue Boy the subject is wearing blue satin breeches.  There's nothing humorous about them but the jay's little feathered pantaloons made me laugh.  I don't think I've ever noticed them before.  I tend to focus on their unorthodox hairdo.  I think I heard this guy chirp too.  That's new but I could be wrong.  It was a very pretty sound, the total opposite of their attention-grabbing screech.  There may have been a kinder, gentler bird vocalizing just around the corner and I incorrectly credited the jay.
