A reminder

A return visit to All Saints in Rotherfield Peppard where the funerals of both my parents were held. Although I've lived in Sussex for thirty-five years I still think of the North-East as 'home' and the west window is always a reminder. It depicts the Northumbrian saints Bede and Aidan alongside a view of Lindisfarne. Slightly odd to find this window in an Oxfordshire church but it is a memorial to James Craig, Liberal MP for Newcastle-upon-Tyne from 1886 to 1892, who had moved down here on his retirement.
