Rudbeckia

A little past their best, these rudbeckia in our front garden continue to provide a bright, cheerful display.
Ms S went to the Art in the Park today, so after a walk with Stanley I spent much of the day trying to find my way around the complex harmonic structure of The Shade of the Cedar Tree by Christian McBride. It was slow progress and requires a lot more work plus a sax lesson with Piero later in the week. I enjoy exploring the sounds and finding patterns that link the chords together, but it is tiring so an hour in the garden provided an antidote.
