No escape

The diabetic nurse didn't show up on Friday which meant that Kieran was unfortunately in hospital for the whole weekend. We couldn't go onto the ward as there were patients with Covid but Kieran was able to come and talk to us outside. We sat in the Sir Tom garden for a while trying to cheer him up but after a boring 3 days stuck on a ward with old men, he was ready to come home.
The garden is a lovely place for patients and visitors to sit and chat. It was a hot, sunny day and we were able to sit in the shade under a tree. The air ambulance paid a visit while we chatted.
