Two part day
My main is the Justin Smith Morrill Homestead state historic site in Strafford, VT. The extra is a collage of Bread and Puppet's Apocalypse Defiance Circus.
I went to the Morrill Homestead with my very dearest and oldest friend Deb. We met at kindergarten registration and have remained close through all the ups and downs of our lives. She loves history! We had two very informative tour guides, one for the house and another for the outbuildings and grounds. It was hard to choose what to blip from this visit but the main Gothic house, PINK!, had to be it.
In the evening I took Lucas to Bread and Puppet on the Haverhill Commons green. Beautiful evening with the sunsetting behind our backs. They are on a 3 month cross country tour and this was their first performance on that tour. Lucas was so stunned to hear some of history of social injustice highlighted in the circus. He said, "I don't understand why we don't learn these things in school?" Good question!
