Rain

We packed the car in breaks during a thunderstorm and drove up to Tour en Sologne, a village in the Loire, where we stopped for a beer while waiting for the hotel reception to open.  As we walked back the heavens opened. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and offered to book a table for us in a restaurant that is just a short walk away.  We hesitated.  Instead we drove into nearby Bracieux and walked around and around, looking at the restaurants under a threatening sky.  None of the restaurants appealed and then the heavens opened again.  We decided to head further to Cour Cheverny and we walked around and around and around.  The heavens opened again.  Back at our hotel we took up the offer of having a table booked in the local restaurant.  The food was fine and it didn’t rain on us during the three minute walk there or the three minute walk back.
