Repeat

It was a treat to see this female monarch fluttering all around Joe Pye Weed today. She finally landed on this “mystery” flower, which is what I was hoping for. It’s a volunteer that we’ve watched grow all summer and it finally budded and started opening in the past two weeks. My phone isn’t identifying it correctly either but after some research online I’m wondering if it’s Ironweed? If anyone knows please share! • An unusually cool start to the day with the thermometer registering 48F, but it warmed up nicely.
