Solace Day 1

The first day of our first trip on Solace since the death of "The Mate".  It will be strange.

A slow run down the M6 was carrying very heavy traffic.  However, we arrived safely, mid afternoon.  Soon everything was on board and we were ready to go.  Usually, the question as we approach the marina exit is "left or right?"  There was no need for the question as turning right would be a no go, the canal to the north is closed owing to a distinct lack or the wet stuff.  Or to put it another way, the bottom is getting too near the top.

As we were aiming to visit the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust reserve the next day we moored between Shugborough and the Reserve at Wolseley.
