A stone's throw from my front door
It was a lovely balmy evening when I got back to Lichfield tonight, and with not a cloud to be seen I thought I'd do a wee detour to the Cathedral before going home.
I'm dead lucky to have this on my doorstep and I've been inside many times but tonight I just wanted a shot of it's imposing medieval frontage.
It's been a site of worship since 700 and the building that stands now was begun in 1195!! I love it's rich history and I love the way it's three spires dominate the city.
I hope my blip does it a semblance of justice.
