Conviviality
We travelled over to Tideswell today to visit friends - something we have not done for a very long time. Health issues mean they also continue to be careful. We sat in the back garden chatting, and having a long lunch. We decided to give the proposed short walk down Tideswell Dale a miss.
A’s Mum popped around at one point to give her a photo of this year’s well-dressing in the village. The well-dressing season in this part of Derbyshire is almost at a close, but P told us that the last one has just been completed at nearby Wormhill, so we visited on the way home. In the extra, the main one on the village green, there is also a children’s one in the churchyard. Queen themed (it’s that platinum jubilee again) they are constructed of natural materials. There are lots of petals, mosses, seeds and lichens.
