A walk through the heather
A lovely warm Summer day and a wander through the heather towards Tintwistle Knarr ( that is the name of the hill ahead in this photo).
We were entertained by the Cattle herd at Crossgates. Extra Photos of the herd, a curious calf some cows scratching their necks on the wall.
We saw very few species of birds on the walk and then …
We spotted a Marsh Harrier on the drive home - an irregular visitor to our area. It is always worth continued keeping eyes to the skies.
Phone call from hospital, still no results so tomorrow’s planned appointment cancelled.
Bill Turnbull died today, he always seemed to be a gentle man.
