Late blooms

I sat in the garden for a while this afternoon, it was really quite hot when the sun was out. The lavender and the Japanese anemones are still attracting many bees and hover flies which is great to see and hear.
I am surprised how long the anemones have been flowering, they must be getting towards the end now especially as it is quite cool at night but they have been wonderful this year.
