Roped Off

A boat trip. Thankfully not on this one which looks like it has been tied up against the dock for many a year. The sun bounced so bright off the gunwales I had to under expose considerably.

I wanted to feature the simple shapes of the boat yet include some of its environment for context. Deep shadows helped in that regard.

I didn't have many photo opportunities out at sea, what with spray, movement and limited subject matter. I took a few shots when the skipper stopped for a spot of mackerel fishing. We had a few for supper which were most welcome.
