A Significant Day!

I had hoped this significant day would have occurred at the end of July, but due to things not quite being in place, it was postponed to today. What is this significant thing I hear you ask…….today was my last day of full time working. I started work 40.5 years ago. I’m not retiring completely just yet and so I will return on Friday to the esteemed institution for a year working 2 days a week.
I spent my significant day at the 18th conference of the European Council for High Ability in The Hague. It was a lovely way to spend it meeting up with many friends I haven’t seen for 3 years. It was particularly good to be reunited with my best pal and colleague N who recently moved back to Ireland. . I also met someone who has read everything I’ve written and uses some of the ideas for her work with nursery teachers.
So……the end of an era. Very surreal!
