Belated Birthday Celebrations

We had to postpone Father in Law’s birthday present of a flight from The Ulster Flying Club when he was ill last week, so we were pleased to be able to fit it in before we head home in a couple of days.
Gorgeous Boy and I tagged along and acted as official photographers. There was quite a delay getting airborne but the Blair boys (father and son) had a wonderful time and GB and I had fun too.
Home for a homemade fish pie a followed by apple pie and ice cream.
Ended the day with a rather chilly visit to the beach.

I didn’t take any pictures yesterday but I should note a lovely meal with former colleague Dagmar and her partner Ulrike. The joy of having been an academic is that you end up with good friends all over the place.
