Memorial
Always a busy day after returning from a few days in the caravan and only two days before we’re off again so the usually unexciting jobs had to be attended to , but whilst out shopping to stock ‘Matilda’ again I walked through our town square and had a good look at the eye catching Covid Memorial which was unveiled in April to mark community sacrifices for all who worked through this awful pandemic. The Sculpture is very lovely and was made by Plymouth Artist, Kevin Nutley. It depicts 3 mahogany pillars with three different designs of stained glass embedded into them – these include a rainbow to represent the NHS, a panel of hearts in a spiral to represent care workers and parallel lines to represent key workers who were making deliveries.
Now off to unpack the shopping and cook dinner.
