Man Cave
Here's my Man-Cave and some more Unfinished Business.
About 1950 my Dad salvaged a mahogany desk top from the old Bank of New Zealand building in Lyttelton. He always intended to make a bar top or table or something out of it, but it just sat propped up against the back wall of the garage.
I've just started cutting it to size to make a coffee table. I wanted to make good use of it as it's 2.8m long x 600mm wide. So a very big mahogany tree gave its all for that slab. Pity it's too narrow for a dining table and is partly split down its length. Still an impressive chunk of wood.
Maybe in a month or so I'll Blip the finished article, unless it's ugly.
No pressure.
