I was helping mum clear out one of bedroom drawers which has stuff in it that she doesn’t use! We found the gold coloured pocket watch top right which when opened had an inscription inside. Thomas F Hewitt. Very ornately written and was quite hard to make out. Mum has no idea where it came from, but it must have been her Dad’s which he also owned the silver one on the left.

I’ve blipped that pocket watch and the cigarette case before, the cigarette case a present given to him from his girlfriend, MCF 1921, is engraved on it. They married in 1923 and no idea why she was six months pregnant with another man’s child when they got married. So many mysteries with her, some solved some still to be and some will be forever forgotten.

The other little thing opens up to unfold a little implement for holding whisky. I wish I knew more story behind all of them.

In news from the other side of the world. The trial of Chris Dawson had the judge’s verdict on the trial. GUILTY!! Yes! First heard of this case with the podcast Teacher’s Pet a few years ago by an investigative journalist, Hedley. He was instrumental in getting the case of Lynette Dawson reopened and investigated . This POS is 74 amd will now spend the rest of his life in prison. Only circumstantial evidence but the judge’s explanation and debunking of all the stories put forward from Dawson was great to hear. All these years, her family have now asked he tell them where the body is. I bet he won’t.
