Ambulance

So….I need to do a fair bit of back blipping and I hope that I can just copy some of the messages I’d sent to people instead of trying to rewrite the events.
Here goes…

We are currently waiting for a taxi to take Audrey to the drug store for it opening. Mom is suffering from a migraine brought on by the thunder and high humidity.

So….my nerves are all over the place and I’ve got the shakes!
Mom got two bags of fluids and two lots of pain relief without it seeming to touch the pain. Then they gave her a shot in the bum and that eased the pain. She was much more her normal self and the doctors and nurses were quite surprised. Her right eye wasn’t opening properly though. They noticed but said nothing. They discharged her. By the time she got back to us she was looking very tired and eye still wouldn’t open properly. We sat her down and prepared a backed potato cause that’s what she wanted but by the time we got it to her she took two bites and couldn’t eat any more. So she’s in bed sleeping but just as she lay back down she said that the headache was coming back.
The doctors said that with old people if they have a fall it’s possible for them to have a bleed on the brain but it happens so slowly you can’t really detect it. It can take a week for it to show. Well….that would put us at this time.
There is no way for the ‘hospital’ to check her here. They can only do that in Tahiti hospital.
We are looking into our options on that. The place we were due to stay in Tahiti the day before our big flight back to Ca is available tomorrow too so that’s one thing. But will mom be fit to fly 50mins tomorrow?
I just want her out of here and somewhere where they speak English and actually have the capability to care for her.
