Tuesday: Apples

Even a temporary stay in the UK requires the occasional emergency creative blip. Take these apples, for instance.

Today was a pretty full day in terms of meetings.  It also included the second of two handover sessions with my predecessor, which she called ‘brain dumps’.  It was precisely that.  For two hours I received a verbal download of everything she has picked up over the last four years.  I can’t possibly remember it all - it’s definitely not the most effective handover I’ve received.  I prefer to give my successors written notes so that they can refer to things as and when they need them.

Still, it’ll be ok.  I’ve been in this situation before and you just learn as you go along.
