Singing for its Dinner!

I was so thrilled to see a green heron today when I went out looking for wood ducks lol.   I saw these folks all lined up on the dock at the end of the boardwalk I was on and they pointed out where this beautiful wee green guy was.  This is only the third green heron I've ever seen , ....once in Ohio, one over near the U. of Washington's duck pond and today!!! 
  Then I went and spent the afternoon over with my friend who has been undergoing cancer treatments since march....finally she is feeling a tad better but the big pet scan that will determine if the nasty big C is gone is Thursday.  We are all hopeful as is our own fellow blipper JohnSmiley whose mom is who I spent the afternoon with.
