Country Life

The remains of a very large bonfire which was lit over the fence from me. House full of smoke, flames twelve feet high, very close to my garden shed. All very alarming as well as highly inconsiderate. Complained bitterly, only to be told by the property owner "This is the Country - this is what we do here"
It's only a few months since my neighbour on the other side cut a tree down, which broke my fence and landed on my garage. (See blip of Oct 19th) No apology from her either.
Am I missing something - is their a subliminal message here - or are they all just nuts?
