Penelope the Peeper

What a 24 hours it has been. Yesterday at 5:30 p.m., I put a big pot of mac and cheese into the oven. 10 minutes later, we lost power, and at Lisa's place of employment, they also lost power. So, we spent the night in darkness. No TV, no internet, no blip. no dinner.

This morning the power company was saying it would be back on early Friday morning, so I packed 4 bags of food from our 2 freezers, and took it to my son Jeff's house. 

Fortunately for us, the power came back on at 2:30 p.m. I was painting with just window light, so I was glad to see it. Sometimes I think that we take electricity for granted...until you don't have it.

I have retrieved the food, and things are back close to normal.

I rarely see the horses at this farm, so I was glad to see Penelope.
