Flower Friday ...

... dahlia.

We were so impressed with the dahlias that we saw on our vacation last October that over the Winter R had ordered some bulbs for our garden.  We got the bulbs this Spring and R planted them as soon as it was advisable. 

And we have been enjoying them ever since.  The blooms are simply gorgeous ... and some are quite large.  I've been wanting to blip one of them for a little while now but have always had something else to blip on Friday.  But not today!  This lovely bloom is about the size of a small dinner plate!
