The long pond

It still has water in it though not much is flowing out through the dam.
I drove to my old school today to say hi to folks. I've been missing people and it was good to see them. They were madly getting ready for the first day of school tomorrow. An exciting and nerve wracking time...
Driving home I pulled in next to the pond for a quick blip and scared a blue heron off. It flew over to the spruce trees and bobbled around on the branch there until I was done. We may get a bit more rain tomorrow. My fingers are crossed.
