After church The Rev and I went to Ham House. A National Trust property only an hour away. We did it on a budget…with meal deal picnic!!
We found a lovely spot to eat and relax in the grounds, then we had a tour of the house. It is a large house with some interesting anti rooms…where the rich and famous apparently sat to admire art!!
We had a cuppa in the orangery and a walk around the kitchen garden.
Afterwards we walked along the river, watching children and dogs swimming in the Thames and paddle boarding!! We treated ourselves to an ice cream to round off a fabulous day.
Our only issue was another evening of a very very late return of our Ukrainian lad!!! In fact I went to sleep at midnight and woke at 2am in a panic…..he was in bed and very very asleep!!!!
