Tuesday: Wild Blackberries

We had a bit of a “rude awakening”  - I was fast asleep and thought I was dreaming about a heavy vehicle making that reversing noise … woke with a start and looked through the window, the central heating oil tanker had arrived, it was 7:30am. When I got downstairs MrD was on his way out to meet the driver :-)) Heating oil is just under £1 per litre and this is Summer prices, hopefully our full tank will last us until this time next year if we’re careful.
After breakfast, I thought I’d do some family history. There was a nice message waiting for me from someone researching 2 parts of my tree - I explained why the people were in my tree and sent the message off.
Sat outside to eat lunch, very sunny and peaceful … I think the tourists have gone … sssshhhhhh … MrD appeared with a plastic storage box announcing he was going blackberrying, 2 hours later he returned with a box full of delicious fruit which I washed and are now in the freezer for winter :-)
It’s the equinox in about 3 weeks, already getting dark by 8:30pm …
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
