Beans

The beans planted around the bean tunnel look like they've unfortunately started going over so I gave the plants a light trim and placed the leaves around their base as a mulch.

I must admit climbing beans have been quite disappointing this year but I have a few gorgeous borlottis (my favourites!) to make up for the other beans that haven't done great. 

I'm now watering a lot less but with cooler temperatures, the harvests are already less frequent. If we get a warm September, there might be a second flush. Let's see what happens.
