Lady Wulfrun

I am in Wolverhampton for a meeting. There is a lovely old art museum, an old church and this fine statue of the founder of Wolverhampton, the Anglo Saxon noble Lady Wulfrun. She was kidnapped and held to ransom by those nasty Vikings (in between the raping and pillaging). This was around 985 they think.

History is everywhere if you look for it !
