There were several images I could use for my royal Blip today- but I like this one the best. It was still quiet and most people home watching the abdication on television, or busy going to Amsterdam. There is a tradition of 'free market' on Queen's Day, where people sit on the street with their unwanted belongings, mostly clothes, books and toys, and sell them for next to nothing. After a look around I went home and worked on my herbal project whilst watching the ceremony on my laptop. The serious partying will have started by now, but I'm having a quiet day pondering it all and glad all went peacefully and respectfully. There's a nice english broadcast herefor those of you who'd like to see a bit more of the ceremony and the atmosphere in Amsterdam.
